Named after a Russian botanist, Pushkin, the six-petaled scilla-like flowers of ice-blue with darker stripes are borne loosely on a central stem. Best planted in natural drifts in borders, rock gardens, under trees and between shrubs. Trouble-free and hardy, increasing rapidly both by bulb offsets and by seeds. Asia Minor.
