The heads of this species are strangely oval, only 2" wide, and consist of about 100 densely packed reddish-purple, bellshaped florets. Stems are tall, and blooms appear in midsummer. Very different, eyecatching accents. Use: border, cut, natural, dried. 84 bulbs per square yard.
