This 'gone crazy' sport of A. sphaerocephalon (Drumstick allium) bears 2" reddish-purple spheres with protruding hair-like greenish-yellow flower pedicles of varying lengths, somewhat like a miniature A. schubertii. We've nicknamed this little novelty the 'wild thing'. Long-lasting and adorable as cutflowers.
