Canadian Wild Ginger. A widely grown ginger that faithfully returns year after year, quickly forming large colonies. The ground-covering kidney-shaped, rich green leaves are up to 5 inches long, held on softly hairy stalks. Brownish-purple, bell-shaped flowers are mostly concealed by the foliage. Stands up well to heat, cold and drought. Native to Eastern North America.
